  • Lock keeper`s House, Hertford.

A picture of the lock keeper`s house & lock on the river Lea at Hertford, which I thought converted to B&W quite well! C & C Welcome!

Yes, you are right. It has converted well. Only thing I would do is lose the telephone wire!

Your right Stephen! Attention to detail is so important I will get BT to go & get rid of it!

Hope you have a speedier response than when my phone system was down! 3 weeks to replace a wire!

          Very nice.

Is this between Hertford and Ware?

If it is its a walk I've been meaning to do.

Out of interest how was your B/W conversion done.
          All the best

Thankyou Andy! Yes you are spot on, it`s on the tow path between Hertford & Ware, & is a good walk to do (if you do please post your pictures too).
The black & white conversion was simply done in Olympus master 2, with no photoshop at all.

Looks a good conversion to me, with a full range of tones. I also feel that B&W enhances the timeless quality of this scene - easily looks like it could have been taken at least 50 years ago!

I think Stephen's right about the cable, though, but rather than wait for BT you could try cloning it out!

              A very nice image indeed.

Thankyou John! Yes I know it would be quicker to clone the cable out, but I am in one of my moods at the moment, where I try not to photoshop any of my pictures!......................................don `t ask! it`s just a challenge I set myself every now & then
